ABOUT US

Baffle | noun | baf·fle /bafəl/ - a device to deflect, check, or regulate flow or passage such as sound.

Speight Baffle | noun |sp·eight baf·fle /spayt bafəl/ - a device to deflect, check, or regulate flow or passage such as sound… but it looks way cooler than plexiglass or plywood.

In 2018, John Speight was working in Nashville, TN as a professional guitar player and FOH engineer when he had the idea to build and design a baffle that was not only functional but aesthetically pleasing on stage. In 2019, after narrowing down the perfect design and prototype, the Speight Baffle was officially patent pending and ready for production.

The Speight Baffle is constructed of acoustically transparent fabric, solid pine, and sound absorbing insulation. These layers are designed to reduce stage volume, clean up in ear monitor mixes and give the sound engineer more control over his mix. Tweed or Tolex specifically used for amplifiers and guitar cases, grill cloth, and amplifier replicated finishes gives the Speight Baffle the appearance of an amplifier or speaker cabinet, making it an attractive yet useful addition to any player’s gear.

The Speight Baffle is proudly handcrafted in the United States of America.
